CARRI Atelier Tee — Maison N° 06 Sun-Faded 260gsm Heavyweight
The tee that disappears under a layer or leads on its own.
A foundational tee is the hardest piece to design well. Everyone owns one. Most of them are wrong.
The Atelier Tee is the result of long fittings and slow choices. We landed on 260gsm cotton, which is the exact threshold where a tee stops feeling thin and starts feeling like something you actually want to layer with the rest of the closet. Below 260 the tee bunches under a jacket. Above 300 it gets stiff and refuses to drape. The window is narrow and we live in it.
The sun-faded finish is done at the mill, not in software. The cotton is treated and cured for a calibrated time, so two tees from the same run read slightly differently in the same light. That is craft, not a defect.
This is the tee you build a season around. Worn solo in summer. Worn under the Atelier Hoodie in fall. Worn under the denim jacket in spring. It disappears when it should and leads when you want it to.

Questions, answered.
Q: What does sun-faded mean? Will the color fade more over time?
Sun-faded is a finishing process where the cotton is treated for a calibrated number of hours. The fade is locked in at that stage. The color will not continue to lighten significantly through normal washing.
Q: Is 260gsm too heavy for summer?
No. 260gsm cotton breathes well in the weave we use. It feels heavier in the hand than a standard tee but wears cool in heat. The drape is also what makes it work as a foundational piece under layers in cooler months.
Q: Why the price step at XL?
The fabric cost for XL and 2XL is genuinely higher at the mill. We pass that through honestly rather than averaging it across all sizes. Construction and finish are identical across every size.
